Paleo For Coffee Lovers
If you loooove coffee like I do, but are trying to do Paleo, or a similar diet to cut out artificial sweeteners, dairy, etc, here are some creative ways to enjoy your morning Joe while sticking to your nutrition!
Add 1-3 teaspoons of your favorite nut butter and blend with your coffee (Maybe add a little coconut oil, as well), and enjoy a nutty coffee
Blend about 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree, about 2 teaspons coconut milk, 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup, and just a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg for a “Paleo Pumpkin Latte”
Warm 1/2 cup of coconut milk, 2 teaspoons of ghee, and 3 teaspoons of honey. With a whisk or a whipper, blend together until they’re frothy. Add your black coffee, whip some more, and enjoy!
Cappuccino-style, combine 12 oz of strong, dark brewed coffee with 1 tablespoon of ghee, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of coconut cream, 2 teaspoons of raw honey, 2 teaspoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of coconut sugar, and 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
To spice things up, try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to black coffee, or nutmeg, ginger, or even a pumpkin pie spice blend.
Mocha-style, combine 12 oz of brewed coffee, 1 tablespoon of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of coconut cream, 2 teaspoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of raw honey, and anywhere from 2 teaspoons to a tablespoon of raw cacao.
