Fork It Friday: Balling on a Budget Part 2
Some people have no clue where to start when shopping for the week—and also no idea about how much they should be spending. Last week I did my shopping at Costco for the week. The great thing about Costco is I was able to get enough to meal prep for 2 people—breakfast, lunch, dinner, and some snacks—for two weeks (not to mention some probiotics to promote good gut health) for $210.00.
That may seem like A LOT of money, but when you break it down, $210/14 days= $15 per day for 2 people. Not to mention there were items that were purchased that will last LONGER than two weeks (protein powder, pink Himalayan salt, cinnamon, mixed nuts, sweet potatoes, probiotic, and paleo pancake mix).
It is much easier to think about daily cost of living than it is to think about the large lump sum spent at one time.
The best part about shopping in bulk is that I am now set up for success (both in my kitchen, and in my wallet). This is especially great if you if get into a grove of eating similar meals each week.
Eating well can be easy especially—when you are BALLIN’ ON A BUDGET! Invest in yourself and invest in what you are fueling your body with!
